Sacred Circle Wellness gives Starting Point gift of $1,200
CONWAY — Sacred Circle Wellness in North Conway held a fundraiser April 3 for Starting Point marking the start of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Sacred Circle Wellness provided a number of services including chair massage, Reiki and oracle card readings, rose facials, massage sessions and yoga with all the proceeds, $1,200, going to Starting Point.
Starting Point provides free and confi dential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking throughout Carroll County. The organization offers 24/7/365 crisis intervention, court and hospital advocacy, shelter, financial literacy and support, personal advocacy, outreach and prevention in Carroll County schools.
Last year, advocates provided more than 20,000 services.
“With concerns about inflation and funding, we are reliant on our community to fill in the gaps,” said Outreach

and Engagement Specialist, Raetha Stoddard.
“Too often victims arrive at our facility with nothing more than the clothes they are wearing. In those cases, we are starting from scratch to get them safe and functional again,” Stoddard said.
“For some victims it just takes some support in court or a gas card to help them move on from their abuse. Either way there is a cost, none greater than doing nothing for our neighbors in need,” Stoddard added.
“Sacred Circle Wellness is a member of our Make It Your Business sponsorship program. We are profoundly grateful for the support of our business community and to those like Sacred Circle Wellness for standing up for victims,” she noted..
Starting Point’s next Awareness event is a Dine to Donate today (Thursday) from 5-9 p.m. at Black Cap Grille in North Conway at Settler’s Crossing.
